SEVA SANGAM IN BANGALORE

Addressing a press conference here in Bangalore on February 2nd, Tuesday at 11.30am at RASHTROTTHANA PARISHAT, Sri Sitaram Kedilay, National Chief of Seva vibhag, told that through several seva activities Rashtriya Seva Bharati is indulged in making a harmonious society over the years.
He said that, “The Rashtriya Seva Bharati is conducting an All India convention of its affiliated organisations, ‘Seva Sangama’, from Saturday 6th February to Monday 8th February in Bengaluru at the Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Yelahanka. Over 700 non government organisations will be convening during these 3 days. RSS chief Mohan rao Bhagwat and many noted Sangh Leaders will be present on the occasion.”
Constituted in 2003 the Rashtriya Seva Bharati is the umbrella organisation to which more than 700 voluntary organisations are affiliated. The Rashtriya Seva Bharati manages over 1.57 lakh social projects and programmes throughout the country.
The aim of the Rashtriya Seva Bharati is to address the needs of the underprivileged in the urban, rural and remote areas of the country. The Rashtriya Seva Bharati covers a large span of social concerns from education to health, from rural development to organic farming, from economic self reliance to social rejuvenation. The Rashtriya Seva Bharati is well equipped in terms of manpower to deal with natural and man made calamities. The Rashtriya Seva Bharati helps in registering trusts and societies, in conducting surveys and identifying the needs of a particular locality. Guides the affiliates to start and run an office; helps to reach out to new volunteers to mention only a few of the services it renders to its affiliated organizations.
“The objective of the convention is to review the progress made by the affiliated organisations in their respective areas and to chart out a future plan of action”, said Sri Sitaram Kedilay.
